RE: ADC 2016 ARRANGEMENTS
Dear Branch Secretary,
Conference Packs will be available for collection by Dublin Branches at Head Office from 9.15am on Friday, 15th April 2016. Head Office will be open as usual through lunch. If for any reason you are unable to collect your pack, please do let us know. Packs for Provincial Delegates will be delivered over the following days. The following are the arrangements:
Thursday, April 21st 2016
Delegates to make their own way to the Conference taking place in the INEC/Gleneagle Hotel, Killarney. Iarnrod Eireann (Irish Rail) have been advised to expect extra numbers particularly for morning departures from Heuston Station. Delegates can book a return ticket (standard fare from Dublin or any other location) on line at www.irishrail.ie or by phone to Sales & Customer Care on LoCall 1890 366 222. Please check for local departure times on the above website address or call LoCall 1890 77 88 99 (talking timetable).
Bus Eireann also provide services from a number of cities/towns throughout the country, again, you will need to check with your local bus station or log on to www.buseireann.ie for further details.
The Gleneagle Hotel is located on the Muckross Road in Killarney. For directions to the Hotel log on to: www.gleneaglehotel.com There are over 300 Car Parking spaces available at the hotel.
Accommodation: Bed & Breakfast on a shared twin room basis will be in the Gleneagle Hotel/Apartments, and you will be notified prior to conference where your delegation will be staying. Please note delegates are responsible for all expenses, i.e., drinks, room service, telephone calls, snacks etc and room supplements, if applicable and these should be paid directly to the hotel prior to departure. Please advise any delegates from your Branch with a disability to contact Mary Murtagh at Head Office, email email@example.com in advance of ADC to ensure we can make all necessary arrangements.
Delegates arriving in Killarney on the Thursday morning, 21st April on train departures from Heuston Station, Dublin and points in between, will be collected by bus from the Train Station and brought to the hotel.
Conference, Thursday, April 21st 2016
The Rules Conference will commence at 14.00 (2 pm) on Thursday, April 21st and Registration will take place from 13.15 at the INEC Conference Centre foyer. The Rules Conference will conclude at approximately 19.00 (7 pm). We wish to advise Delegates that a credential swipe card registration system will be operational throughout the Conference proceedings, therefore it is important to have this swipe card in your possession at all times. Delegates should note that access to the Conference hall will be permissible with the credential swipe card only.
Soup & sandwiches, tea & coffee will be served in various locations of the Gleneagles Hotel and INEC Conference Centre foyer from 12.30, prior to Conference.
A Karoake/music session has been arranged for Thursday night, April 21st @ 21.30 (9.30 pm) in the Gleneagles Hotel. Do come along and enjoy the fun.
Conference, Friday, April 22nd 2016
Registration for Annual Delegate Conference from 8.00 am in the INEC Conference Centre foyer. Conference will commence at 8.30 am sharp. Tea, coffee & biscuits will be available in the INEC Conference Centre foyer from 10.45am to 11.15 am. A light lunch will be served at 13.00 in the Gleneagles hotel. Conference will resume at 13.50 sharp. Conference will adjourn at 17.00.
The Conference Dinner will be served at 20.30 (8.30 pm) in the Gleneagles Hotel followed by a Dance. Delegates, please ensure you have your Dinner Dance ticket on Friday night for admittance.
Conference, Saturday, April 23rd 2016
Conference will resume at 9.00 am sharp. Registration will take place in the INEC Conference Centre foyer from 8.30 am. Delegates are requested to vacate their hotel rooms before the commencement of the Conference. An area in the INEC Conference Centre foyer will be set aside for luggage. Conference is scheduled to conclude at 12.05. There will be a packed lunch available to Delegates to take away.
Train departures from Killarney to Dublin and points in between will depart on Saturday afternoon at 13.37, 15.35 and 17.37 respectively. Buses will leave the Gleneagles Hotel for Killarney train station in order to meet the train schedules.
